The damp and mould issue
Katie contacted us after experiencing ongoing condensation problems in her three bedroom terraced home in Arnold, Nottinghamshire. Humid air was causing moisture to regularly form on the inside of the windows. This happened even more during colder periods, and early signs of black mould were beginning to appear.
Like many terraced properties, the house struggled with stale air and airflow. Everyday activities such as cooking, washing and heating were introducing moisture into the air. Our assessment, positive input ventilation system

The solution
We installed a heated Nuaire Drimaster Eco Positive Input Ventilation unit. We positioned it in a central location within the loft space. The system works by gently introducing fresh, filtered air into the home. It dilutes and pushes out stale, moisture laden air through natural leakage points.
The heated element helps temper the incoming air during colder months. Helping to ensure comfort is maintained while still delivering effective ventilation. This makes it particularly suitable for terraced homes where heat retention is important.
